GENERAL TARIFF FOR ALL RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES AND FESTIVALS WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES EFFECTIVE FROM 1 JANUARY 2007

A.     TARIFF FOR POOJAS CONDUCTED IN THE NEW TEMPLE

1.       The Devotee in return for an Official Receipt shall pay the appropriate tariff, as detailed below, to the Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer or to any member of the Management Committee.

2.       All bookings for special poojas can be made through the Priest or Religious Affairs Chairperson or Temple Administrator appointed by the Management Committee.  Advance payments are highly recommended in order to confirm any booking on first come first served basis.

3.       For most special poojas, the Temple will provide all pooja materials.  Devotees are requested to provide only the Garlands, loose flowers, fruits, and customized item according to the nature of the religious function.  Please consult the priest for more information.

4.       All Dakshina payments to the Priest in the Temple premises must be placed in the Priest Dakshina collection box placed near Nandhi in the new Temple.  The Dakshina money collected via the collection box will be counted at the end of each month in the presence of a Priest and 100% of the Dakshina collected will be shared between the resident Priests at the end of each month.  The share of Dakshina payments will form part of the taxable income of the Priest concerned.

B & C

TARIFF FOR POOJAS CONDUCTED IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE HALL  OR OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE PREMISES

1.       Members of the Hindu Public can arrange for the services of the Temple Resident Priest to conduct Religious functions outside the Temple or in the Temple Multi-Purpose Hall (Old Building).  The Priest will be normally available between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4 00 p.m. daily.

2.       All bookings for these functions and ceremonies can be made through the Religious Affairs Chairperson or Temple Administrator appointed by the Management Committee. Advance payments are highly recommended in order to confirm any booking on first come first served basis. 

3.       For most poojas, the Temple will provide all pooja materials.  Devotees are requested to provide only the Garlands, loose flowers, fruits, and customized item according to the nature of the religious function.  Please consult the priest for more information.

4.       The Devotee in return for an Official Receipt shall pay the prescribed tariff to the Priest. Out of the tariff collected, 50% of tariff goes back to the priest.  Please note that any voluntary Dakshina may be given at the discretion of the Devotee directly to the Priest, ONLY for religious functions conducted in the multi-purpose hall or outside the temple premises.  Where the Priest uses his own car to travel, the estimated cost for distance travelled using RAC rates (presently @ 35cents/km) shall be payable by the Devotee to the Priest.

B. FUNCTIONS HELD IN THE MULTI-PURPOSE HALL

Functions held in the multi-purpose Hall, which involve two different kinds of payment.

B1.  The first payment relates to the hiring of the multi-purpose hall.  The following charges apply:
